Project Life/ Pocket Page Scrapbooking Supply Organization

So I'm one of those people that thinks I need to have everything that ever comes out for pocket page scrapbooking. I'm trying more and more to get control of it but those 3x4 and 4x6 cards are sooooo darn cute and they just keep coming out with more to temp me. I wish I could say I was scrapbooking as fast as I was collecting them but of course I'm not! While trying to come up with ways to store these  cute little cards I found a lot of inspiration on Pinterest. The first method I grew out really fast which was a great desk top tray to put all the cards, pens and embellishments into. I had made mine out of foam core board. It looked really pretty but didn't really hold that much. So I had seen these Raskog carts from Ikea that everyone was using and thought I really liked that idea but I live 5-6 hours away from Ikea so not really feasible. One day as I was walking through Michaels I came across a simular cart in the clearance section so I snatched it up and this is what it looks like with all my washi tape, 3x4 and 4x6 cards, sequins, wood veneers, 6x6 paper pads and transperancies. I still need to make a few more dividers but I love how it's all organized.

I made the little divided boxes from a design found in the Silhouette Studio store

Together Layout

In a couple of weeks my baby brother is getting married so I thought I would do a layout with a picture they posted on Facebook (ya I totally stole it from their page). They are such a cute couple I couldn't help but be inspired.

Masculine Birthday Card

So yesterday was my husbands birthday and of course it fell on Father's Day this year, which can be quite handy as I'm not much of a party thrower. Unfortunately my plans for a get together with his side of the family didn't go so well as I was planning a BBQ and the wind and rain just wouldn't let up. So we had to postpone it.

This year I was finally on the ball and made him a card. I'd love to get him a real motorcycle for his birthday some day but for now it'll just have to be on a card.

What paint and water can do. What do you think?

I've been in a semi slump lately, I don't know if it's just because of winter or what but creativity has been next to nothing and I have a ton of projects to finish. Well I think I finally broke through the slump and was inspired to paint again. Once I started I didn't want to stop.

Welcome 2014!

It's hard to believe how fast time flies! I'm looking back at 2013 and everything I had hoped to accomplish. Ya, what was I thinking :P Oh well.....

The best thing I love about the start of a new years is having the chance to start over, regroup, think of a new plan. And I'm happy to say I have no plan! I am winging it this year and we'll see where it takes me :)

Things I know for sure are:

- I will continue working on my 2013 Project Life Album
- I will start a 2014 Project Life/Regular album
- I will keep quilting, scrapbooking and creating overall
- I will keep putting things in my Etsy store
- I will make some videos and tutorials

So here's to seeing what the New Year brings! Have a joyful day everyone!
