June 2022 Card Kit and News!

A bit of news! I will be attending the Etsy Spring market in Saskatoon this Sunday June 5th. I've never done an outdoor Etsy market before and I am excited that I will have a 10x10 booth this time. Usually we only have a 4x6 space. I've been planning my booth in the garage (it's the only space I could set up out of the crazy prairie wind) and am super excited to see how it will all look with everything in it. You can find more info about the sale here. This is the Facebook page here where you can find out about the vendors and what they will be selling. I will have card kits, paintings, quilts, journals, mini albums and much more. Hope to see you there!

60 Projects in 2022- Project 6- December Daily Scrapbook

Another project down. Yay! This one had been sitting there since 2014 sadly. The worst part of leaving this so long is that my memory has trouble recalling what I was thinking when I took the pictures. Thankfully I had written some important things on the backs of the pictures.

I had forgotten how much I really do enjoy scrapbooking. The creativity and having the memories consolidated in one place for everyone to enjoy because most of the time my pictures are scattered across printed, phone and computer and trying to find a picture can sometimes be very frustrating if you can't remember where it is.

On to the next project!

60 Projects in 2022- Project 5- Rustic Harmony Album

Many years ago, I did a class on this album. I liked this so much that I purchased enough supplies to make another one, but it was one of those things that I had put away to do later.

I had many of the papers cut already but had forgotten what was what due to poor labeling. Because of this I just didn't want to take the time to figure out all the pieces and it ended up in my unfinished projects bin.

This challenge has helped me so much in focusing. All I need to think of is the one project and not the other 55 projects I have waiting to get done. Little by little the projects are getting done and I'm finding I still enjoy making these things. Now I look forward to the next project.

Check out the video at the bottom of this post with a walkthrough of the album.

60 Projects in 2022- Project 4 - Rosette 9 - Millefiori Quilt-Along

This is the fourth project in my challenge to get 60 unfinished projects done in 2022. It's already April and it seems like I'm not making much progress at all. Even if I don't reach the 60 projects, it's okay as long as I keep my focus on the project at hand because those are actually getting done! This makes me excited because I'm finding my passion to do them again and the gratification that comes with a completed project is definitely worth it.

This is Rosette 9 from the Millefiori Quilt Along. It's feels a little odd not to go in the proper order of the directions but with this quilt it works. It does take a little planning because I'm using fat quarters for this quilt, and I don't want to use up the fabric that needs to be fussy cut on smaller blocks only to run short for the bigger blocks.

You can find the details here on my progress with this quilt.

I chose soft colors from the line for this block. Slowly I'm starting to see how this quilt will look when it's finished and I'm really liking it.

After completing this project I'm always excited to pick another from the jar. The next project will get me back to some paper crafting. Not that I don't do a lot of paper crafting as it is, but the first four projects have all been quilting and this will be a nice change. Stay tuned to see the finished project.

Until next time...
